NHL: Ottawa 4, Montreal 3 (OT)

OTTAWA, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Jason Spezza scored the game-winning goal Thursday night 2:48 into overtime as the Ottawa Senators beat Montreal, 4-3.

Dany Heatley, Zdeno Chara and Antoine Vermette also scored and goaltender Ray Emery made 30 saves for Ottawa (7-1-0).

The Senators went 2-for-8 on the power play.

Mike Ribeiro scored twice, Michael Ryder added a goal and two assists, and Jose Theodore made 38 saves for the Canadiens (7-3-0), who had a three-game winning streak broken.

The Canadiens were 2-for-5 on the power play, and lost the shots on goal battle, 42-30.
