First Samurai draws No. 9 for BC Juvenile

ELMONT, N.Y., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- First Samurai drew the No. 9 slot for Saturday's $1.59 million Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Belmont Park.

"I think we will be all right," trainer Frank Brothers said. "With one-turn, 1 1/16 mile, it should be no problem."

The morning line installed First Samurai as the 8-5 favorite. Jerry Bailey will be aboard in the race for 2-year-old colts and geldings.

Longshot Jealous Profit took the No. 5 position and trainer Doug O'Neill said he was happy with both Jealous Profit's position and Stevie Wonderboy, who drew the No. 12 post.

"Neither will have to stand in the gate very long and will have a long straightaway to weed everything out," O'Neill said.

Rounding out the field are Superfly (1), Ivan Denisovich (2), Leo (3), Set Alight (4), Dawn of War (6), Stream Cat (7), Socerer's Stone (8), Henny Hughes (10), Private Vow (11), Brother Derek (13) and Dr. Pleasure (14).
