NHL: Detroit 6, Columbus 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Pavel Datsyuk and Brendan Shanahan each scored two goals Monday as the Detroit Red Wings posted a 6-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Mathieu Schneider and Henrik Zetterberg each had a goal and an assist, Manny Legace made 31 saves and Nicklas Lidstrom added two assists for Detroit, which won its sixth straight game.

Bryan Berard and Trevor Letowski each scored a goal and Marc Denis stopped 31 of the 37 shots he faced for the Blue Jackets, who lost for the fifth time in six games.

Columbus was blanked 6-0 by Detroit on Saturday.
