NFL: Philadelphia 20, San Diego 17

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Matt Ware returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter Sunday as Philadelphia beat the San Diego Chargers, 20-17.

The kick by Nate Kaeding was blocked by Quintin Mikell. Ware scooped up the loose ball and took it 65 yards for a score with 2:25 left in the contest.

For Philadelphia (4-2), quarterback Donovan McNabb was 35-for-54 passing for 287 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Running back Bryant Westbrook, who gained just 25 rushing yards on 10 attempts, caught 10 passes for 75 yards. Terrell Owens added seven receptions for 53 yards. Owens had one touchdown.

San Diego's Drew Brees went 23-for-40 for 299 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. LaDainian Tomlinson was held to just seven yards on 17 rushing attempts.

The Chargers (3-4), who had won three of their previous four games, committed three turnovers.
