Dana Quigley takes the SBC lead

SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Dana Quigley carded a 7-under 64 Saturday to take a one-shot lead after 36 holes of the SBC Championship at San Antonio.

Quigley is 11-under-par 131 after two rounds. Mark James (66) is 10-under 132.

Jay Haas also shot 66 to move into third place at 9-under-par 133. Bruce Fleisher, first-round leader John Harris and Dan Pohl are one stroke further back at 8-under 133.

Scott Simpson, who missed the course record by one stroke, shot an 8-under 63 Saturday to move into a tie for seventh at 7-under 135 with Gil Morgan, Morris Hatalsky and Lonnie Nielsen. Tom Jenkins, Jerry Pate, Andy Bean and Jim Thorpe stand at 6-under 136.

Defending champion Mark McNulty (72) is tied for 15th at 5-under-par 137.
