NHL: Los Angeles 2, Minnesota 1

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Pavol Demitra scored an overtime goal Sunday night to give Los Angeles a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Wild.

Eric Belanger also tallied goals, Craig Conroy and Tim Gleason assisted on Demitra's overtime winner, and Mathieu Garon made 24 saves for the Kings, who have won straight to improve to 2-1-0. The Kings were 0-for-6 on the power play.

Wes Walz scored the only goal, and goaltender Manny Fernandez stopped 30-of-32 shots he faced in his first start of the year for the Wild, who fell to 1-2-0 with their second straight loss.
