NFL: Carolina 32, Green Bay 29

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Jake Delhomme threw for two touchdowns as the Carolina Panthers held off the Green Bay Packers, 32-29, at Bank of America Stadium.

Delhomme finished 17-of-24 for 206 yards, and Stephen Davis carried the ball 19 times for 51 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers, who are 2-2.

For the Packers, Brett Favre went 28-of-47 for 303 yards with four touchdowns, one interception and one fumble for Green Bay (0-4), which continued its worst start since 1988 after a late rally fell short.

Donald Driver ended with six catches for 92 yards and a touchdown for the Packers.

Green Bay wide receiver Terrence Murphy left the game on a stretcher after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Thomas Davis on a kickoff return. Murphy was able to move his fingers and was taken for X-rays and an MRI.
