MIAMI, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- An RBI single by Matt Treanor snapped a sixth-inning tie Friday night and helped the Florida Marlins beat Atlanta, 5-2.
Lenny Harris added a pinch-hit two-run homer and Jeremy Hermida also had an RBI for the Marlins, who broke their season-high six-game skid. Florida, which has been eliminated from post-season competition, has won only won three of its last 15 games.

Winning pitcher Ron Villone rose to 2-2. Todd Jones registered his 39th save.
Wilson Betemit and Brian Jordan both had one RBI for the Braves, who have dropped two in a row since clinching their 14th consecutive National League East Division title.
In relief, losing pitcher John Thomson dropped to 4-6.
