MLB: Minnesota 6, Kansas City 3

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Jacque Jones hit a tie-breaking RBI triple in the eighth inning Wednesday night to help Minnesota top the Kansas City Royals, 6-3.

Jones had two hits and scored two runs, while Michael Cuddyer added a two-run double for the Twins, who have won two straight after a four-game skid. In relief, winning pitcher Jesse Crain improved to 12-5. Joe Nathan registered his 41st save.

Paul Phillips doubled in two runs, Mark Teahen went 2-for-4, and Emil Brown added two hits and one RBI for Kansas City, which suffered its 104th of the season, which ties the franchise record established a year ago. Loser Andrew Sisco sank to 2-5.
