DENVER, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Quarterback Jake Plummer threw a touchdown pass and ran another one in to lead the Denver Broncos over the Kansas City Chiefs, 30-10, at Invesco Field.
Mike Anderson added 98 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries for the Broncos (2-1), while Rod Smith tallied 80 yards and a receiving touchdown for Denver. Smith surpassed the 10,000 yard receiving mark for his career and now has 10,025 yards.

Trent Green completed 23-of-44 passes for 221 yards with a touchdown for the Chiefs (2-1), who lost their first game of the season. Eddie Kennison recorded 112 yards on eight catches for Kansas City.
The Chiefs backfield tandem of Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson managed just 74 yards combined.
