MLB: N.Y. Mets 6, Philadelphia 5

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- A four-run eighth inning rallied the New York Mets over the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-5, at a rain-soaked Citizens Bank Park.

Mike Jacobs drove in three runs Monday, including the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth, to finish just 1-for-3 with a solo homer for New York.

Roberto Hernandez worked the eighth and ninth to earn his third save of the season. Shingo Takatsu (1-0) got the win, getting the final out of the seventh.

Jimmy Rollins homered, drove in two runs and extended his hitting streak to a franchise record-tying 31 games for Philadelphia, which lost for just the second time in six games.

Philadelphia starter Brett Myers allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings. He struck out seven and walked one.
