COL FB: Georgia 23, Miss. State 10

STARKVILLE, Miss., Sept. 25 (UPI) -- D.J. Shockley threw two touchdown passes Saturday night as No. 6 Georgia defeated Mississippi State, 23-10.

The scoring tosses were hauled in by Danny Ware and Leonard Pope. Shockley went 21-of-36 for 312 yards and Ware had 43 yards on nine carries as Georgia improved to 4-0 overall, 2-0 in Southeastern Conference.

Omarr Conner was 19-of-32 for 205 yards with one touchdown and one interception and Jerious Norwood added 43 yards on 14 carries for Mississippi State (2-2, 0-2 SEC).

Georgia, which has won its first four games for the second straight season, has beaten the Bulldogs eight straight times.
