MLB: LA Dodgers 4, Pittsburgh 3

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Antonio Perez keyed a three-run sixth inning with an RBI infield single as the Los Angeles Dodgers downed Pittsburgh 4-3 Friday night.

Jeff Kent, Olmedo Saenz and Jayson Werth also drove in a run for the Dodgers, who put an end to a six-game losing streak.

D.J. Houlton (6-9) earned the win after permitting two runs and four hits over six innings. Houlton, who won for only the second time in his last 10 decisions, struck out five.

Freddy Sanchez hit a two-run homer and Jason Bay added a solo shot for the Pirates, who have dropped four straight contests.

Paul Maholm (2-1) took the loss.
