NEW YORK, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Adam LaRoche had four hits, including a two-run homer, and Ryan Langerhans had three RBI Saturday to lead Atlanta to a 7-4 win over the New York Mets.

LaRoche sparked a three-run first with his 17th home run of the season. He wound up with three runs for the Braves, who won for just the second time in six games.

Marcus Giles also homered in the victory. Tim Hudson (13-8) went six innings to beat the Mets for the third time this season.

Cliff Floyd, Mike Piazza and Mike Jacobs homered for the Mets, who lost for the 16th time in their last 20 games.
