Davenport, Schiavone reach Bali final

BALI, Indonesia, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- American Lindsay Davenport and Italian Francesca Schiavone will meet in Sunday's final of the Wismilak International.

Davenport, this year's Wimbledon and Australian Open runner-up, swept past Na Li of China, 6-2, 6-2, Saturday. Davenport also defeated Li at the U.S. Open.

Schiavone moved into the final when Swiss Patty Schnyder was forced to retire in the third set with what was described as heat illness. Schiavone lost the first set 1-6, but won the second, 6-4 before Schnyder retired.
