Irishman Paul McGinley routed England's Luke Donald, 9 & 8, Friday and in the semifinals will face Angel Cabrera, who advanced with a 4 & 3 win over Spaniard Jose Maria Olazabal.

"It's just lucky for me the last two days that I have managed to get ahead very quickly and stay there and win by a big margin," Goosen said. "Conditions were tough out there today, it's tricky with the breeze."

The 12 & 11 win tied the largest winning margin in event history. Goosen beat Jeff Maggert by the same score one year ago.
