McNabb questionable for Sunday's game

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

McNabb was injured when he took a helmet-to-chest hit from Atlanta tackle Chad Lavalais Monday night. An MRI, X-ray and a CT scan test on his chest Tuesday showed that there was bruising, but no structural damage.

McNabb did not practice Wednesday. Backups Koy Detmer and Mike McMahon both worked with the first team offense.

McNabb insisted, however, he will be on the field for the Eagles' home opener this week.

"Nothing would ever stop me from getting back on that field," McNabb said. "I'm too much of a competitor. If we had to play tomorrow, I would be out there playing."
