MLB: Seattle 10, LA Angels 9

SEATTLE, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Yuniesky Betancourt singled home pinch-runner Ramon Santiago in the bottom of the ninth Wednesday as Seattle posted a 10-9 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

A pair of errors led to the Angels tying the game in the ninth. But Betancourt's hit gave the Mariners their second straight win in their final at-bat. Betancourt went 3-for-3 with two RBI and scored twice, while Raul Ibanez went 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBI.

Richie Sexson homered and Jeremy Reed knocked in two runs for Seattle.

Chone Figgins had three hits and scored twice, and Casey Kotchman went 3-for-4 with two RBI for the Angels, who are just a half game ahead of Oakland for the top spot in the division.
