MILWAUKEE, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Rickie Weeks hit a two-run homer and Rick Helling pitched seven shutout innings Sunday as the Milwaukee Brewers posted a 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros.
Bill Hall went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Carlos Lee added two hits and an RBI for the Brewers, who have won three of their last four games. Helling (2-0) gave up five hits and three walks with six strikeouts.
Chris Burke homered for the Astros, who have a one-half game lead over Florida in the NL wild-card race. Philadelphia is 1 1/2 games out.
Astros starter Roy Oswalt had two hits. Oswalt (17-12) suffered the loss after giving up four runs on eight hits in six innings.
