MILWAUKEE, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- The Houston Astros downed the Milwaukee Brewers 7-5, maintaining their half-game lead in the National League's wild card standings.
Andy Pettitte threw 6 2/3 solid innings to win his fifth straight start and Lance Berkman belted a two-run homer.

For the Astros, Craig Biggio went 3-for-5 with two RBI and Willy Taveras had two hits and scored twice.
Corey Hart belted a pinch-hit, two-run homer for the Brewers, who had a two- game win streak broken.
Pettitte (15-9) gave up five hits and three runs. He walked one and struck out four. Brad Lidge recorded the final two outs for his 36th save.
Tomo Ohka (10-8) allowed six hits and five runs over three innings for Milwaukee.
