NEW YORK, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Manny Ramirez homered and drove in three runs Saturday afternoon as Boston pounded the New York Yankees, 9-2.
John Olerud also homered and Trot Nixon added two RBI for Boston, which broke a two-game slide.

Winning pitcher Curt Schilling improved to 6-7. In eight innings, he surrendered only two runs and five hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
Boston has won 10 of 14.
Jason Giambi homered and Robinson Cano had two hits for the Yankees.
Loser Shawn Chacon dropped to 4-3. In only three innings, he yielded five runs and six hits with three walks and one strikeout.
New York reliever Al Leiter gave up three runs and nine hits over 5 2/3 innings with one walk and three strikeouts.
