Peerless Price signs with Cowboys

IRVING, Texas, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- The Dallas Cowboys have signed wide receiver Peerless Price to a one-year contract.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Dallas Morning News reported the contract worth $2 million, including a $500,000 signing bonus. The paper also said Price can earn more than $500,000 in incentives.

Price was released last week by the Atlanta Falcons. With Dallas, he will be re-united with Drew Bledsoe, his quarterback in 2002 with the Buffalo Bills, when he had his best season -- pulling in 94 receptions for 1,252 yards and nine touchdowns.

In four years with the Bills (1999-2002), Price caught 232 passes for 3,302 yards and 22 touchdowns.

He was traded to Atlanta following the 2002 season and never lived up to expectations. In two seasons as Atlanta's No. 1 receiver, Price had 109 receptions and six touchdowns.

In Dallas, he will be part of a receiver corps that features Keyshawn Johnson and Terry Glenn.
