NEW YORK, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Safety Michael Jameson of the Cleveland Browns Saturday was hit with a four-game suspension for violating the NFL substance abuse policy.
The league did not say specifically what substance Jameson was fingered for. Jameson will be eligible to rejoin the Browns' active roster on Monday, Oct. 10, and will miss games against Cincinnati, Green Bay, Indianapolis and the Chicago Bears.
The 5-foot-11 inch, 195-pound Jameson was a second-round draft pick by Cleveland out of Texas A&M in 2001. He has 39 solo tackles, three sacks and one interception in his three-year career.
