UNCASVILLE, Conn., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Lindsay Whalen scored 27 points and Taj McWilliams-Franklin added 16 Friday night as Connecticut beat Detroit, 75-67. With the victory, the Sun advanced to the conference final after a two-game sweep of best-of-three Eastern Conference semi-final series.
Nykesha Sales grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds for the Sun, who will play Indiana in the Eastern Conference finals.
