MLB: N.Y. Mets 18, Arizona 4

PHOENIX, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- David Wright and Mike Jacobs each hit two homers as the New York Mets trounced the Arizona Diamondbacks, 18-4, at Bank One Ballpark.

Jae Seo (6-1) gave up a pair of runs in seven innings for his fourth straight win. He scattered seven hits, while mixing in two strikeouts with no walks and also logged a pair of RBI for the Mets.

Wright belted two solo homers, while Jacobs cracked a two-run blast and later added a solo home run to finish 4-for-5 with four RBI. Jose Reyes also belted a three-run shot, and ended 3-for-5 with four RBI.

Arizona starter Russ Ortiz (4-8) took the loss after allowing eight runs in four innings. He surrendered seven hits with five walks.

The lone bright spot for Arizona was Shawn Green belting his 300th career homer in the eighth off of New York reliever Aaron Heilman.
