Tim Byrdak, Todd Williams and B.J. Ryan helped complete the shutout for Baltimore, which has now won three of four. Ryan earned his 26th save.

The Blue Jays had a four-game winning streak snapped.

Toronto has been shut out eight times this season.

Loser David Bush dropped to 2-6. He yielded one run and only four hits in eight innings with no walks and three strikeouts.

Baltimore, which improved to 6-3 since bench coach Sam Perlozzo took over as manager when Lee Mazzilli was fired, has scored just one run in its last 18 innings.
