McNabb laughs off Owens criticism

BETHLEHEM, Pa., Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb laughed off criticism by teammate Terrell Owens Friday but warned Owens to cool it.

Speaking with reporters at Eagles training camp in Bethlehem, Pa., McNabb said he wasn't bothered by things Owens has said about him. But he warned Owens, who has been banished from camp by Coach Andy Reid, to "keep my name out of your mouth."

In an interview on ESPN Thursday, Owens called McNabb a hypocrite and said the two of them could not succeed on the same team -- or even speak anymore.

"It's so funny to me how my name keeps getting thrown out there," McNabb said. "You've just got to have fun with it and that's exactly what we're doing."

He said he sees no reason why he and Owens should talk.

"When we step on this field, it's all about business," he said. "We're professionals that line up and do the right thing."

McNabb publicly scolded Owens earlier this year after Owens questioned the quarterback's performance in the Super Bowl.
