WNBA: Seattle 71, Houston 68

SEATTLE, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Lauren Jackson scored 27 points Tuesday night as Seattle beat the Houston Comets, 71-68.

The Storm, which moved ahead of Houston into second place in the Western Conference, overcame a career-high 34 points by the Comets' Sheryl Swoopes.

Houston has dropped three straight and fell to 15-13 overall. Seattle, which got 11 points from Iziane Castro Marques, 10 from Sue Bird, and 6 rebounds by Janell Burse improved to 15-12 with is third win in a row.
