PHOENIX, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Diana Taurasi scored 27 points Friday night, Penny Taylor added 17 points and Phoenix beat Houston, 80-75.

Kamila Vodichkova added 16 points and Maria Stepanova had 14 for the Mercury, who have won two in a row and 4 of 5.

Sheryl Swoopes and Tina Thompson each scored 18 points to lead Houston, which has dropped 2 of 3.

Janeth Arcain added 17 points for the Comets, who fell to 15-11. Seattle improved to 14-11.
