Hall of Fame induction for Marino Sunday

CANTON, Ohio, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Utah sculptor Blair Buswell is giving finishing touches on the bronze bust of Dan Marino in time for the Miami Dolphins quarterback Sunday in Canton, Ohio.

Buswell, a former college football player, has spent six months immortalizing Dan Marino's game face, the Miami Herald reported Friday.

The bronze bust, one of 53 that Buswell has created for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, will be unveiled Sunday during Marino's induction.

Sunday promises to be a particularly special day for Buswell, who never imagined as a Brigham Young running back and art major that he would one day sculpt the bust of BYU teammate Steve Young, who also will be enshrined in the Class of 2005, the report said.

Over the years, Buswell has added hair to the scalps of Eric Dickerson and Terry Bradshaw, carved Don Shula's trademark jaw and straightened Larry Csonka's crooked nose.

''I want to get it just right, get just the right expression, something the player and his family won't be embarrassed by,'' Buswell told the Herald. "With Marino, the main thing was getting his smile right."
