Farnsworth, a hard-throwing right-hander, was 1-1 with a 2.32 ERA and six saves in 46 games with the Tigers. He currently is appealing a six-game suspension for his involvement in a brawl with the Kansas City Royals on July 17.
During the melee at Comerica Park, Farnsworth tackled Kansas City's Jeremy Affeldt to set off another battle after things were slowly getting back to normal.
Colon is 1-5 with a 5.28 ERA in 23 games this season and Miner, who was last with Triple-A Richmond, posted a 2-7 mark with the team from April 28-July 30. Miner had a 4.23 ERA in 17 games.
