DETROIT, July 23 (UPI) -- Justin Morneau homered, drove in two runs and scored twice as the Minnesota Twins beat Detroit, 5-2, to split a doubleheader at Comerica Park Saturday.
Twins' starter Scott Baker (1-1) held the Tigers to two runs on five hits over seven innings, with five strikeouts and one walk. Joe Nathan pitched a perfect ninth for his 27th save.

Mike Redmond drove in a pair of runs and Joe Mauer had one RBI for the Twins.
Justin Verlander (0-2) surrendered five runs on eight hits over six innings, with two walks and three strikeouts.
Magglio Ordonez and Omar Infante drove in Detroit's runs.
The Tigers won the opener, 2-1.
