ST. LOUIS, July 21 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols and John Rodriguez homered Wednesday night as the St. Louis Cardinals beat Milwaukee, 4-2.
Winner Mark Mulder (11-5) allowed one run and five hits over seven innings with three walks and three strikeouts.
Jason Isringhausen recorded his 27th save.
Rodriguez and David Eckstein had two hits apiece for St. Louis, which has won won six of seven.
Loser Ben Sheets (5-7) surrendered three runs and five hits over six innings with no walks and seven strikeouts. J.J. Hardy homered and Rickie Weeks had three hits for the Brewers, who lost for the third time in nine games.
Milwaukee's Geoff Jenkins has a 13-game hitting streak after a pinch-hit single in the ninth inning.
