MLB: Cincinnati 4, Colorado 3

CINCINNATI, July 15 (UPI) -- Ken Griffey Jr. and Adam Dunn each homered Friday night as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Colorado Rockies, 4-3.

Griffey also threw out the potential tying run in the eighth inning.

Winning pitcher Aaron Harang ran his record to 5-8. Harang yielded one run and three hits over seven innings. He walked one, struck out seven, and retired 17 of the last 19 batters he faced.

Loser Jason Jennings fell to 5-9. He surrendered two runs and five hits in seven innings with one walk and five strikeouts.

Jorge Piedra had three of the Rockies' six hits.

The loss was Colorado's third in four games. The Reds have won three of four.

Colorado has lost its first game after the All-Star break in seven straight years.
