MLB: Milwaukee 4, Washington 2

MILWAUKEE, July 14 (UPI) -- Damian Miller drove in three runs Thursday to help Milwaukee down the Washington Nationals, 4-2.

Geoff Jenkins went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, Miller had two hits and Brady Clark had three as the Brewers won their third straight.

Milwaukee has won eight of 12 overall.

Reliever Matt Wise ran his record to 3-2. Losing pitcher Gary Majewski fell to 2-1.

Newly-acquired Preston Wilson homered for Washington in his first at-bat with the team. The Nationals have dropped three in a row and five of six.

Starting pitcher John Patterson, who had nine strikeouts in six innings, finished with his 11th no decision in 16 starts. He has allowed two runs or fewer in the same number of starts.
