Gaudio wins Swiss Open title

GSTAAD, Switzerland, July 10 (UPI) -- Former French Open champion Gaston Gaudio won the Swiss Open Sunday with a victory over Swiss favorite Stanislas Wawrinka.

The Argentine beat his unseeded opponent, 6-4, 6-4, to capture his fourth title of the year.

Gaudio won the French Open last year and was a 2002 finalist at the event. He also has won at Estoril, Vina del Mar and Buenos Aires.

Wawrinka was trying for his first-ever professional championship.
