Pacers reach contract terms with Granger

INDIANAPOLIS, July 7 (UPI) -- Rookie forward Danny Granger reached contract terms Thursday with the Indiana Pacers.

The first-round draft pick agreed to a multi-year deal. No terms were disclosed.

The 6-foot-8 inch, 225-pound Granger was the 17th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft after spending two seasons at the University of New Mexico.

Last season, he averaged 19.1 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, leading the Lobos to the NCAA Tournament. The Metairie, La., native, who was a first team choice in the Mountain West Conference, will participate in Indiana's Rookie/Free Agent Camp, which starts Sunday, July 10.
