MLB: Cleveland 6, Detroit 0 (2nd game)

CLEVELAND, July 4 (UPI) -- Jason Davis pitched six shutout innings after being recalled from Triple-A Buffalo Monday as Cleveland completed a doubleheader sweep of Detroit with a 6-0 victory.

The Indians, who have won 21 of their last 28 games, rallied behind Scott Elarton's complete game and two home runs by Travis Hafner to win the opener, 9-3.

In the second game, Hafner hit a 457-foot home run in the eighth inning that followed Coco Crisp's inside-the-park homer. Hafner was 6-for-10 with six RBI and four runs scored in the doubleheader.

Davis (4-2) allowed four hits and two walks. Matt Miller, Bob Howry and David Riske each pitched one scoreless inning to finish off Cleveland's fifth shutout of the season.

The Tigers have lost 10 of their last 12 games.
