MLB: Texas 6, Houston 5

HOUSTON, June 25 (UPI) -- Michael Young homered twice Saturday to lead the Texas Rangers over the Houston Astros, 6-5.

Alfonso Soriano added two RBI and Rod Barajas also homered for the Rangers, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Winning pitcher Chris Young improved to 7-4. He surrendered three runs and only three hits over seven innings with one walk and four strikeouts.

Loser Brandon Backe dropped to 6-6. He was tagged for six runs and five hits in six innings with two walks and seven strikeouts.

Craig Biggio went 2-for-4 with one homer, and Lance Berkman and Morgan Ensberg also homered for the Astros, who had their four-game winning streak halted.
