PHOENIX, June 25 (UPI) -- Shawn Estes scattered one run and six hits over 6 1/3 innings to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 2-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
Diamondbacks Tony Clark and Shawn Green each drove in a run in the opener of a three-game interleague series at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix.

Royce Clayton and Troy Glaus each had a pair of hits for the Diamondbacks, while Brandon Inge, Rondell White and Craig Monroe had two hits apiece for the Tigers.
Shawn Estes (6-5) struck out three in the victory, while Brian Bruney picked up his eighth save working a scoreless ninth inning.
Mike Maroth (5-8), who knocked in Detroit's only run, allowed both Arizona runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings.
