MLB: Seattle 11, N.Y. Mets 5

SEATTLE, June 19 (UPI) -- Richie Sexson drove in three runs and scored three times Sunday to lead the Seattle Mariners to an 11-5 win over the New York Mets, completing a three-game sweep.

Ichiro Suzuki had three hits, one RBI and two runs scored to help the Mariners win for the fifth time in six games.

Raul Ibanez, Jose Lopez and Jeremy Reed knocked in two runs apiece for Seattle, which had a season-high 17 hits.

Winning pitcher Gil Meche improved to 7-4. He surrendered five runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings with two walks and six strikeouts.

Loser Tom Glavine fell to 4-7. He was tagged for six runs and eight hits in just 2 1/3 innings.

Cliff Floyd homered and Mike Piazza had three hits and one run scored for the Mets, who have dropped six of seven and nine of their last 11 games.
