MLB: Colorado 2, Baltimore 1

BALTIMORE, June 17 (UPI) -- Jason Jennings tossed seven scoreless innings Friday night to help the Colorado Rockies ease past the Baltimore Orioles, 2-1.

Jennings, who didn't allow a run for the first time this season, scattered six hits, walked five, and struck out seven in raising his mark to 4-7.

Brian Fuentes recorded his seventh save.

Todd Helton homered and Garrett Atkins had an RBI single for the Rockies, who snapped a three-game losing streak and won for just the fifth time on the road this season.

Loser Daniel Cabrera fell to 5-6. Brian Roberts drove in the lone run for Baltimore, which saw its three-game winning streak snapped.
