George Washington's Hall to skip NBA draft

WASHINGTON, June 15 (UPI) -- George Washington University announced that forward Mike Hall has decided to skip the NBA draft and return to the school for his senior season.

Hall declared for the NBA draft this spring, but did not hire an agent and retained his final year of eligibility. Hall was the team's top rebounder last season as a junior, pulling down 8.0 rebounds per game.

"It was a good learning experience," Hall said of the pre-draft workouts he attended. "I received a lot of positive feedback. Now I'm looking forward to next season (at GW)."

Hall's teammate last year, Colonials forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu, who entered his name as an early entry for the draft, has also kept his NCAA eligibility options open. Mensah-Bonsu and the rest of the draft entries have until next Tuesday to withdraw their names and retain collegiate eligibility provided they do not hire an agent.

GW finished 22-8 last season with an 11-5 mark in Atlantic 10 play. The Colonials won the A-10 tournament and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where they lost to Georgia Tech in the first round.
