MLB: San Francisco 9, Kansas City 7

SAN FRANCISCO, June 9 (UPI) -- A two-run double by Pedro Feliz highlighted a five-run sixth inning Thursday as San Francisco outslugged Kansas City, 9-7.

Kansas City scored four runs in the top of the sixth to overcome a 4-0 deficit and then surrendered five runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Lance Niekro had three RBI for the Giants, who recorded just their second win in 13 games.

The double from Feliz gave San Francisco a 7-4 lead. Niekro capped the inning with a two-run single. The five runs came off Leo Nunez (1-1). Scott Munter (1-0) earned the win in relief.
