Braves lose Estrada for four games

ATLANTA, June 7 (UPI) -- The Atlanta Braves will be without catcher Johnny Estrada for at least four games because of injuries he suffered Monday night in a collision.

Estrada sustained head and neck injuries in an eighth inning collision, when Darrin Erstad of the Los Angeles Angels bowled into him while trying to score on a two-run double by Garret Anderson giving the Angels a 4-2 victory.

"He's sore and he's tired," said Braves Manager Bobby Cox before Tuesday night's contest. "He doesn't really remember anything after the throw came in."

A number of the Braves felt Erstad could have avoided the collision by sliding. To take his place on the roster, Atlanta activated catcher Eddie Perez from the 15-day disabled list where he had been placed with a shoulder injury.

Atlanta also designated right-hander Seth Greisinger for assignment. The Braves have ten days to either trade Greisinger or release him.
