Goosen wins Exelon Invitational

AVONDALE, Pa., June 6 (UPI) -- Two-time U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen won a chip-off Monday to win four of his eight skins and $195,000 at the seventh annual Exelon Invitational.

Host Jim Furyk, the 2003 U.S. Open champion, finished second with seven skins while 2003 Masters winner Mike Weir won two skins. Tim Clark won one skin in the four-player field.

The chip-off on the 18th hole was good for four skins. Goosen was closest to the hole out of a greenside bunker.

The Exelon Invitational is an annual skins match where the pros compete for a purse of $300,000. A $100,000 check was donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.
