MLB: Seattle 6, Tampa Bay 5

SEATTLE, June 5 (UPI) -- A pinch-hit single by Dave Hansen scored three runs for the Seattle Mariners in the team's 6-5 win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Raul Ibanez belted a two-run homer in the second contest of a three-game series at Safeco Field, helping his team improve to 5-2 in its last seven games. The Mariners also took a 3-2 lead in the season series versus the Devil Rays.

Carl Crawford drove in three runs and Alex Sanchez added a pair of RBI for the Devil Rays, losers of six of their last seven games.

Trailing 5-3 heading into the bottom of the eighth inning, the Mariners rallied for three runs and benefited from a Sanchez error to take back the lead for good.
