MLB: Baltimore 6, Detroit 2

DETROIT, June 5 (UPI) -- The Baltimore Orioles took advantage of a number of Detroit fielding errors Sunday to post a 6-2 victory over the Tigers.

Detroit committed three errors and all but two of Baltimore's runs were unearned.

Winning pitcher Daniel Cabrera improved to 5-4. He allowed five hits and two earned runs with no walks and four strikeouts in seven innings.

Dmitri Young accounted for the Tigers' runs with a two-run homer in the first inning. Melvin Mora drove in two runs for the Orioles, who remained undefeated on the road this year, wining six of their eight road series and splitting two.

Detroit right-fielder Craig Monroe went hitless, snapping his 11-game hitting streak. Loser Mike Maroth fell to 4-6. He gave up six runs and ten hits in eight innings with one walk and one strikeout.
