MLB: Chicago Cubs 2, Los Angeles 1

LOS ANGELES, June 1 (UPI) -- Michael Barrett scored the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning to edge the Chicago Cubs over the Los Angeles Dodgers, 2-1.

With Yhency Brazoban (2-1) pitching for Los Angeles, Barrett singled leading off the visitor's 10th and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Todd Hollandsworth. Neifi Perez followed with a bloop single to left and the ball bounced off the glove of Ricky Ledee, allowing Barrett to score to give Chicago the 2-1 finishing score.

Michael Wuertz (4-2) threw one scoreless inning for the win, and along with starter Carlos Zambrano and reliever Ryan Dempster combined to limit the Dodgers to just one hit in the game.

The Dodgers have lost eight of their last 10 home games.
