High school basketball star hires agent

HOUSTON, May 30 (UPI) -- High school basketball star Gerald Green forfeited his college eligibility Monday when he announced he has signed with an agent.

"I would like to thank Oklahoma State for their interest and support," Green said in a release. "I have spoken to them about my decision and OSU is a great organization. I do intend to achieve my education goals and obtain my college degree through distance programs. This remains a priority for me and my family."
